PLA (polylactic acid) is a bioplastic derived from fermented corn starch — and it’s the most credible “plastic-free” alternative for disposable slippers. Our PLA slippers perform identically to conventional PET slippers during use, but under industrial composting conditions they break down into CO₂ and water within 6–12 months. Zero petroleum, zero microplastic pollution.
